Women's Health Fair Draws A Crowd

Connie Carpenter and Mary Jo BrinkmanSummit Medical Center’s Women’s Health Fair took place Tuesday, October 6 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm and included a healthy lunch planned by a licensed dietician.    The hospital offered free screenings for hypertension, cholesterol, body fat composition, and diabetes.  In all more than 70 people participated in the event.  October was National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the hospital also provided reminders and instructions about breast self-exams and the opportunity to make appointments for discounted mammograms.
